A bit of an ode to my childhood, I guess. I’m sure there are a lot of depressed kids who had the “this is my house not yours” held over their head, making them feel like a temporary resident in a house they had no choice being in. This has made me wonder why parents have children and don’t feel like sharing their home with them, or use the basic necessity of shelter as a way of trying to control their children. Or taking away any feeling of control kids have in their lives. There are probably many reasons I guess. A special thanks to H.E.R.D., a Patreon supporter, for commenting on an earlier version by saying something that sounded better in the strip.
