This is a variation of a much earlier comic I did in 2012 but in this case he knows he has to go and is trying to summon enough mental energy to do it. A lot of my own going out to social events is me psyching myself up to do it.

I draw these characters a lot — they remind me of how I started this strip, and I use them to try to get back to the mindset of when I started.
