The number of times I have said/done exactly the same thing is unbelievable. It’s always good to know you’re not alone, especially as I’m undiagnosed and sometimes I wonder if I’m really even depressed or if I’m just weak, and then I read the experiences of other people with depression and the fact I can relate to so many of them kind of helps bring me back.

Honestly, I find the fact that there are so many people that can relate to this to be even more depressing. I actually just started undergoing a diagnose; I was sick of being relentlessly harassed by thought impulses like these because they were seriously starting to impede on my life. The psychologist’s first reaction immediately was ‘textbook sign of unprocessed traumatic events’.

This is me all the time. Except whem im with someone else or friedns, they would ask why so quiet? (More quiet than normal) …which only makes me feel even worse. And brings more hateful thoughts about myself. Like, “i must be so boring, i cnt even talk or make conversation. Im just making them have a worse time.”

I found your site, believe it or not, on the Gaming On Linux forum, in a discussion about a program (don’t want exactly to call it a game) called Depression Quest, which is available on a web page or free from Steam. Certainly hits home for me, and thanks for your efforts.

Uncanny that your first strip was posted on the day my ex left me. So glad I found this site. It is encouraging to know one isn’t alone.
Depression is hell on earth 🙁

First, i think being quiet isn’t always necessarily a sign one is going through a series of negtive thought/emotions. Talking takes energy, some might want to preserve it.
