    The Dead Sisters #78

78 Another update for a comic that seems to be going all over the place. Don’t worry, it IS going somewhere.  In this update for this slow moving comic, Emmy and Mari head towards the exit.  I’ve been drawing everyone at the bar for literally years so it’s somewhat liberating to set them free.

Now I had to get these two on their way, Mari is literally pushing Emmy onwards. I had this planned out years ago and it’s been quite a journey to get the story to this point.  I had a lot of trouble with what I should do in that panel but really, pushing the characters seemed like the thing to do.  Most of this was drawn in bars or…

We’re back to that other plot line involving Mari, Lily, Iris and Emmy. Back to the present with Daffy and Sunflower. I could have taken longer with the flashback but it was already pretty long and I gotta keep the flow.  I wasn’t planning the final panel, it just came out of Sunflower. These characters tend to write themselves and I feel like I’m just passing on the information instead of creating it. To see the full comic, click here. 74

    The Dead Sisters #73

You can see the comic here -> https://www.claycomix.com/sunflower/posts/73/ Marigold takes things into her … own … hands.  Ouch. Sorry about that. Honestly, this wasn’t planned, this was a case of letting the characters decide what they want to do.  Instead of drawing the actual act, I think drawing Daffy’s reaction was the better one. The only thing I regret about this strip is that Marigold looks way too satisfied…
