Honestly, as a person who suuuuuucks at keeping in touch with people, even at the best of times (I think I may have ADHD?), I’ve never cast judgment on people who don’t text/write back. I usually just assume that life got in the say (same as it did for me… or in my case, that a full response was composed in their head, but they never got around to having the energy to type it out… or they did type it out but then something shiny dangled in front of them and they forgot to press send). When they finally are able to get back in touch, I’m always happy to hear from them and pick things up again where we left off.
I’ve only ever had one friend who took offence to me not keeping in touch better, but honestly, she ended up being an exhausting friend to maintain and wasn’t worth the trouble.
