I don’t understand why more services, especially mental health services, don’t keep expanded hours or shift their hours to later in the day to accommodate their customers. Why stick to the strict 9 to 5 paradigm that reduces the number of people and the amount of time available for treatment and therapy?
Evan J Sanders So much this ^^^ I feel the same way about this, banks, all types of doctor clinics, and dentists. Basically, any business that is crucial enough that customers need to juggle work to attend.
Finally found a therapist with Sunday morning hours, ideal for me. And she’s a badass. And trying EMDR. Is this that “hope” thing I’ve heard so much of?

As a field worker for the company I’m with, this is especially hard for me

Jfc if this isn’t relatable. I have to request days off when I have dr appts.

Paul Lamb says
Really! Try to find an after-hours therapist when your employer will find a reason to let you go if they learn you have a mental illness!
Wilbur Coons says
I’ve never had a therapist or group session that met on the weekends. It’s a terrible oversight for the entire system.
