very true and sad, because of the too many pretenders the real victims can no longer dare to reveal themselves because they’ll be met with criticism even when they are asking for help because they truly need it and criticism only worsens the problem. humans are just merciless, whether you are honest or lying for them you are a liar by default, you are always the enemy always the attention seeker and always the extra weight …. IT IS hopeless ..
With friends like that who needs enemies? People react with anger cuz they’re afraid but when they don’t admit that… it’s poisonous. I’ve seen too many enablers and blamers. Your real friends will express concern (with a little anger, yes). But you also can’t expect those people to understand suicide… especially when no one talks about it. ♡
Usually they’re not motivated by malice, but merely oblivious. People sometimes express their own emotions without thinking about how what they say might affect those to whom they say it. Recovering from depression usually involves questioning your emotional state and recognizing negative patterns of thought. Most people simply aren’t that introspective.
I tried several times and could never work up the courage to see it through. I couldn’t ask for help because of fear of the response shown here. Failure just brings on too many problems.
It still amazes me that someone will talk to a person – a friend, in many cases – who attempted suicide with such vitriol. How is that the go-to response to someone who was suffering enough to override that most basic of instincts: the will to survive? Even if you don’t understand or are even hurt that they did something like that, wouldn’t even a small amount of compassion drive someone to not verbally attack the attempter?

This represents the fear of talking to others quite well.

This is relevant to me especially now after opening up just to be shut back down after breaking down that wall of trust and security
