Yes. And the other stage I go through of sitting there knowing what all too commonly waits, what I’ll have to go through when I do reach the phone or the door of the clinic. Fortunately & Finally I’ve got Docs & MSWs who don’t ask the inane & irritating questions. Who don’t ask me to rate a feeling on a 1 to 5 scale when I’m feeling 40 or I wonder ‘As compared to what, when?” Who don’t ask me for my zip code so they can insure their funding.

    Excellent! Excellent art!
    Thank you.

The worst is that Mr. Sacntimonious up there might well have gone through all this sh*t himself, but since he’s finally on meds or whatever he gets to judge everyone else who hasn’t got to where he is yet. I had a friend say something like this to me a few years back, and I told him to GFH, and he immediately became an ex-friend.

    Dead on, as usual.
(I love the amount of personality you’ve given in the second panel.)

I’m shocked to to see the weird hostility that people suffering from depression have to face. I had no idea.

How abt… Your lack of a job must not be bothering you much, if you can’t even get one. With social anxiety as the heavy weight.

    Thank you.

Related to this is the idea of not trying enough.

And my psychiatrist telling me to improve sleep and nutrition and stuff.

This after I’m telling her my ability to make myself do unpleasant stuff like eat food I don’t like has gone waaay down.

I’m very confused as to why psychiatrists don’t understand when the stuff they tell you to do is impossible for you.

Go exercise! It’ll improve your mood.

Here I’m thinking I should get a medal for getting out of bed every morning. Something I wasn’t able to do this time last year.

Soooo true….I love it when people say “you’re just not trying hard enough”…. Just want to punch them in the mouth.

Ouch. Very real. I don’t think a lot of people realize when they say this, they are FEEDING the stigma that makes it hard to get help in the first place.

This only the problem being no money and no insurance to pay for help.
