I can definitely relate to this comic.
I almost broke down in tears whilst trying to pick dinner from a menu a few nights ago and eventually I just picked fried rice and went to bed when they went to pick it up.

I use to run into this problem a lot, but I have 2 methods I use now to help. I have a “free time” jar with all those various “fun…” activities on little slips of paper in it. When I have some “free time” and the motivation to do something I draw out a slip of paper and then do what I drew. ^_^

Method 2 is for something like too many options on the menu and such cases. I just roll the dice, I have a dice rolling app on my phone. I find a die that most closely matches the number of choices or can easily be changed to the right number (like a d6 / 2 for 3 options) Then I just let the dice decide. Tournament style coin flipping elimination is also a fun method if you’re bored and being indecisive as well.

I know I am slipping back into depression when every decision takes extreme effort. It’s my benchmark for knowing that I’m standing on the edge of the precipice. I’m never good at making decisions, even when “adequately” medicated, but as I sink down into the hold, it becomes impossible and acutely painful to make daily decisions. And life is FULL of decisions.

you have no idea how much making decisions is one hell of a burden that it takes from hours to months to years …. to life times
